Engineer's Day, Why we celebrate Engineers day as on birthday of Sir M. Vishvesavaraya. ?

Engineer's Day Speech 
Firstly I would like to wish all of you a very  happy engineer's day. Every year we celebrate engineer's day on 15 September as the birthday of Sir Mokshgundam Vishvesavaraya (Engineer, Scientist, scholar, Diwan  of Mysore). 



** He is the recipient of India's highest civilian award "BHARAT RATNA" in 1955. 

So, the question here is, why we celebrate the birthday of Sir M Vishvaraya as Engineers day?


If we see the list of most efficient and effective graduates from contemporary Indian history no doubt that Sir Mokshgundan Vishvaraya would the list. He was born on 15 September 1860 into Mulukandu brahmin family in Mundanahali village 40 miles from Bengaluru in the State Karnataka.He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Central college Bengaluru and then studied Civil Engineering from College of Engineering Pune. His contribution towards the nation was spread across the country throughout his career spanning of 30 years as Engineer, 20 Year as Administrator and 20 years as the advisor and statesman.
      
                                                                   Upon graduating his engineering, he joined PWD Mumbai and  later he was  invited by IIC to join Indian Irrigation system. He developed a splendid intricated system of irrigation in Deccan area. Right from the very first day Sir Mokshgundam Vishvesaraya shows flair towards country's growth and development he did many projects related to engineering and paid his full contribution with full of his and enthusiasm towards growing India. He made  the contribution in structure and design of  many bridges, roads, palatable structures, great civil architectures, huge buildings with innovative ideas that leads our technology too away from expectations. and that can not be said or written by using pursual of ATicate words. he was the one who make the path clear for upcoming engineer's and gave his full as he could he was a great patriot of great India.

                      Within a decade, he had gained reputation and became an able engineer who entrusted even any type of complex problem. he had received as many as countless awards for his overall well-qualified work towards country's growth and gave country path of engineering.

The Visvesavaraya National Memorial trust manages the memorial of Visvesavaraya which consists of his things he used like his coffee mug his pen his block by which his cards printed and his awards and achievements. This is located adjacent to his house and local people refurbished and treat it as  the temple.
